Hamid Janbozorgi
AI Search & GEO Strategist
Hamid Janbozorgi is a Houston-based strategist who studies how AI search engines decide which people, brands and sources to cite, and helps them earn a place in those answers.
About
Hamid Janbozorgi works on generative engine optimization (GEO), the practice of making brands and experts visible in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. His research looks at how large language models select and cite sources, and how that differs from classic search ranking.
Before focusing on AI search, he spent more than five years in SEO and product growth, working on technical SEO, analytics and content strategy for high-traffic consumer platforms. Since 2025 he has worked as an independent researcher in AI search.
He is pursuing a Master of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
